Applicants who meet the Legacy Scholarship requirements are invited to submit an application that outlines their involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service, and leadership initiatives. Please contact your guidance counsellor to formally apply.

The Legacy Scholarship Program was established to provide exemplary students with meaningful financial assistance for their pursuit of post-secondary education.  Recipients of a Legacy scholarship will be leaders who create footprints, citizens who pay tribute to others, and individuals who enjoy fellowship with other members of the community.  

Legacy Scholarship requirements

In order to qualify for a Legacy Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. *Attend a post-secondary institution that is approved by the Ontario Student Assistance Program

  2. Have a minimum cumulative average of 70% in their top six courses

  3. **Demonstrate financial need

* *In order to demonstrate financial need, students are required to receive support from the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).  Applicants must provide proof of eligibility for OSAP support by completing the online OSAP Aid Estimator for Full-Time Students (available here), and include a screen-capture of the amount of OSAP funding they are eligible to receive with their application.  Please note, the OSAP Aid Estimator calculator may not be updated with the correct start date for your chosen program by the time your application is due for submission.  In this case, when prompted to enter “When do your classes start” please select May 2023.
